Privacy Policy

TubeFinder (tubefinder.com) is a reference for guitar amplifier and hi-fi vacuum tubes, operated by Captain Cleanout Brands LLC, Oviedo, Florida, United States ("we", "us"). This page explains what information is handled when you use the site. Questions: hello@tubefinder.com.
What we collect
- Retailer link clicks. When you click a link to a retailer, we record which retailer, which tube, the page you clicked from, where on that page the link was, whether the link carried affiliate tracking, and the time. That record doesn't include your IP address, browser details or any account information.
- Visit statistics. Our hosting provider, Lovable, counts visits and page views for us with a script that runs on every page. For each page you open, it sends Lovable the page address, the site that referred you, your browser's user-agent string (which names the browser, its version and your operating system), your browser's language, a country that the script works out from your device's time zone, and a random visit identifier that it keeps in a cookie (see below). We see totals, not individual people.
- Page and performance reports. A second Lovable script reports each page view and how the page performed while loading (for example, how much the layout shifted), with random identifiers for the visit and the page view and an identifier for the version of the site that was served. Its code also contains support for reporting errors, clicks, form submissions and session replays. We didn't see it send any of these when we checked on November 5, 2026, but that check doesn't rule them out, and they may be sent in situations we didn't test.
- Technical requests. As with any website, our hosting provider receives your IP address and basic request details, such as the page requested, the time and your browser type, in order to deliver pages and keep the service running. Its own privacy policy governs how long it keeps them. We don't combine these request details with our click records.
- Email. If you write to us, we receive your email address and message through our email provider, Zoho Mail, and use them to reply and to track corrections. We keep routine correspondence for up to 12 months after the matter is resolved, and longer when it's needed for an ongoing matter or to meet a legal obligation.
Cookies, browser storage and other sites
We use no advertising or cross-site tracking. When we checked the live site in a fresh, signed-out browser on November 5, 2026, it set two cookies, both from Lovable:
__dplwas set by Lovable's hosting when a page opened, with an expiry 24 hours later. TubeFinder's own code doesn't set or read it.session-idwas set by Lovable's visitor-statistics script. It held the random visit identifier described above, with an expiry 30 minutes after the most recent page opened.
So that the back button returns you to the same place on a page, your browser keeps your scroll positions for the current tab in its session storage; that is cleared when you close the tab and isn't sent to us. In that check we found nothing else stored in the browser. Our pages' fonts, images and scripts, including Lovable's, are served from TubeFinder itself, and Lovable's scripts send their reports to TubeFinder's own address, where Lovable receives them. Staff who sign in to edit content have their sign-in session stored in their own browser. You can delete or block cookies in your browser's settings.
Retailer and affiliate links
Retailer links take you to the retailer's own website, which has its own privacy policy.
Today: none of our links carry affiliate tracking, and we hold no affiliate or commission reports.
If we join an affiliate program: its links will be marked "Ad · affiliate link". When you follow one, the retailer or its affiliate network may use cookies or similar technology on its own site to record that you came from TubeFinder, so that we can be credited for a purchase. We will then receive the program's commission reports. From them we plan to keep the order reference, amount, currency, status and date for each sale; we don't ask for your name or contact details. See our affiliate disclosure.
How we use information
We use this information to see which pages and retailers are useful, fix errors, reply to messages and keep the site running. We don't sell personal information or use it for advertising.
Accounts
Visitors don't need an account. Staff accounts are used only for editing content.
Children
TubeFinder is a general-audience reference and isn't directed at children under 13.
Your choices
Click records don't include your IP address or any account or browser details, and we don't combine them with other information, so we can't look up which clicks were yours. To ask about or delete emails you've sent us, write to hello@tubefinder.com.
Changes
We'll update this page before we change what we collect.
